How To Spa
Arrival
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment so that you may check in and use the washroom. Communication is vital to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable.
Change times for changing out of and into your clothes are included in all service times except Registered Massage Therapy. Arriving late will cheat you out of precious minutes from your full treatment. Remember, your treatment will end on time to ensure that our next client is not delayed, regardless of how late you arrive.
Your service will start once you are taken back to your spa treatment room.
Cancellation Policy
Out of courtesy to our Spa Therapists, 24 hours notice is required when canceling a spa service. 48 hours notice is required when canceling any spa package or service over two (2) hours. 72 hours notice is required for all group bookings. When you book a spa package or services over 2 hours in length, our time is reserved especially for you, therefore, like any fine hotel, we require a credit card to reserve your booking. Your consideration is appreciated. Failure to cancel your treatment within the allotted time will result in a charge of 100% of the treatments booked or the redemption of your gift certificate/ gift card. No exceptions!
Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in the price of our treatments. Please feel free to leave your Spa Therapist a gratuity if you feel they have enhanced your spa experience. Gratuities may be left at the front desk.

Gift Cards
Spa Ahava provides the most memorable gift giving gestures. You may purchase a gift card in any dollar value in increments of $5.00, and the gift card can be used towards any services or products in our store Gift Cards come in a cash form. Gift Cards can be used towards any services or product in our store or a combination of the two. Gift Cards do not have an expiry date. No refunds or cash back on gift cards. Lost, stolen or destroyed gift cards will not be replaced. No exceptions.
Children
We love children as much as you do, however, during your service, please make childcare arrangements for your child (children) outside of the spa. This will allow you and all other clients to relax and unwind without having to care for your children, and will not disrupt other services.
Cell Phones
Cell phones are forbidden in the land of Body, Mind, and Soul. Should you need to have it on please turn it to vibrate mode.
Parking
We do not have on-site parking, however, you may choose to park at a metered stall on Broadway or on a side street, past the back alley where there is free angle or parallel parking.
Group Bookings
Spa Ahava can accomodate up to three people per room, or can accommodate larger groups, which would be spread throughout the spa treatment rooms. We cannot accomodate groups of more than three in the same room. For larger group bookings of more than three people per room, feel free to contact our sister spa, Edgewater Spa at 978-4111, and they would be more than happy to accommodate your group booking.
Must I unclothe completely?
Undergarments are not necessary, however, if you prefer, you may choose to wear your undergarments or bathing suit. Keep in mind, our Spa Therapists are trained to drape towels and sheets discreetly, to ensure your privacy is protected at all times. Disposable panties are also provided.
May I wear make-up?
You are welcome to wear make-up, however, before certain treatments it may be removed. Please feel free to freshen up after your treatment in our lavatory.
May I ask the Spa Therapist to adjust certain things to increase my comfort?
YES. This is your time, and you should enjoy the entire experience. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable for you. (example: temperature of room, pressure during massage, pillows, music, etc.) Please do not wait until after your appointment to discuss your concerns as our therapists are professionally trained to make any adjustments that you may require during your service.
Should I alert my Spa Therapist if I have any physical ailments, disabilities or allergies?
Absolutely. In particular, if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, allergies (especially nuts), or are pregnant. Please notify us so that we can accommodate you in a special way.
Should I shave my legs before a treatment?
Please refrain from shaving your legs 24-48 hours before any spa body treatments. We want you to be as comfortable as possible and shaving may cause a burning, itchy feeling.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
You should book your appointment approximately 1 – 2 weeks in advance, however the more popular times such as evenings and Saturdays sometimes book farther in advance.
Where can I park?
Unfortunately Spa Ahava does not have parking for our clients. On Broadway there is meter parking. We suggest that if you are going to be at the spa longer than 90 minutes that you park on 10th or 11th street past the back ally where there is free angle and parallel parking or get dropped off for your services.
